He ranks in the top 1% of the breed for yearling weight, marbling, and TI (Terminal Index). His oldest daughters are now 4 year olds and are proving to be milky, thrifty females with above average udder conformation. His API (all purpose index) ranks in the top 4% of the breed. The only bull we have used that compares to Lucky Man in terms of gentle disposition is 3C Wally. When you study his percentile levels in the breed for the most economically important traits, he stands out in a league of his own, and he is proven.
GW Lucky Boy is the best numbered bull we have ever sold. He topped our sale this year and is the kind that deserves serious consideration for sampling in 2009. He puts it all together in terms of spring of rib, muscle mass, docility and genetic value potential. Owned with J-C Simmental and J Bar J Ranch, MI.
GW Lucky Ace is a young bull that really impresses everyone who sees him because of his muscle expression, depth of body, and great feet. His strong points appear to be his ability to sire calves with extra body, doability and style. He is also enrolled in the ASA Carcass Testing Program and his first scan data was very impressive. His first bull crop scanned very well with ratios of 106 for marbling, 95 for fat, 107 for ribeye.
GW Premium Beef is a young bull that is physically stylish, long bodied, and with the skeletal soundness that is uncomparable in our experience with this breed. His first calf crop was very impressive with 30 of his son’s selling above the average in our annual bull sale. He is proving to be a top notch calving ease sire with shorter gestation length. His ultrasound statistics on this first crop of bulls was very impressive. On the 32 bulls scanned, his sons ratioed 105 for marbling, 100 for fat, and 104 for ribeye. He is enrolled in the ASA carcass testing program as well. If he performs this well on the actual carcass data, he will have great carcass values as well.
